It's funny how many people that moralise about the rules don't have a problem if the rules are followed when punishing us, they just want it done.

This is a disgraceful piece but not surprising from the on-line media outlet.

According to Tony Evans (who?) of the so called The Independent " Uefa are certain of City’s guilt ". Like young Miguel, he seems to want to make a name for his owners and their distortions.

That will be Liverpool fan Tony Evans. The very man who creamed his pants when he exclusively revealed the Chinese Sovereign Wealth Fund were about to Liverpool?

That went well, didn't it?

This is basically him nosing his resentment and bitterness on the fact the draw is today, and the fact we could very well win it.

Lazy journalism, betraying fear. He's getting his digs in early to try and deligitimise if we win it.

No sign of a date yet for the hearing on the cas website, which shows upcoming hearing's until early October.

Makes me wonder what's happening behind the scene's.

Well, who’d have thought it?
In a week when a club has been wound-up, and another has narrowly escaped the same fate, due to unchecked, horrific mis-management,
On a day when a club in Scotland has to close sections of its ground because of appalling sectarianism and racist chanting,
On a day when certain clubs from Eastern Europe with shocking histories of homophobic and racist chants and attacks will be taking part in the CL draw,
On a day when a certain club from ... well, not too far away, has their shirts emblazoned with the name of a bank which has convictions for enabling and facilitating the tyrannical behaviour of certain nations’ governments, and other assorted criminal and terrorist activities, we have yet another ludicrous, unsubstantiated and lie-ridden attack on an organisation which has done nothing but good for the game, both here and abroad.
It does look a tad like a coordinated campaign, doesn’t it?

This guy is a prick... I have read his shite before and did a little digging to see what sort of reporter he is and out of ALL his stories on either LFC/City his agenda is clear.

He's is a poisonous twat, only 1 postive article about City in the last six months and that was about how we still beat WH even though we were not playing well.

City
Why are City in the Champions League draw when Uefa ban looms?
Man City sleepwalk through opening weekend as gulf in class threatens

Man City furious as Uefa move step closer to issuing Champions League ban

LFC

How Coutinho’s departure became Liverpool’s catalyst for success

These guys can defend their articles being negative about City but they cannot defend how at the same time the positive reports about LFC have ramped up.... It's like someone is paying them

Thanks. I have seen this article but thought the case had recently been extended. There has been a lot published in the US and Portugal. I haven't got the time to hunt for links today. I don't believe UEFA can do anything until this legal case is resolved because all their evidence seems to based on the Pinto leaks to Der Spiegel. If they take action against City based on highly selective leaks and more evidence comes out or Pinto goes down it could cost UEFA hundreds of millions in damages and costs. Actually losing such a civil action could threaten their entire existence. Our commercial rivals are putting political pressure on UEFA to act (hence todays article from the Independent) but UEFA is in an impossible situation.

I have a feeling that pressure was applied to Hungary and Portugal to get this guy locked up A phone call from our chairman to PMs of the countries might have done the trick
