I seem to remember Stones going to see him when he did his hamstring, so I sense he's got a wider remit. maybe my blind optimismAin’t Ramon Cugat the ligaments specialist? Does this mean bad news?

I think Ramon's competence goes beyond just ligaments:

Last two seasons I mentally wrote off our league chances with the Mendy and KDB injuries.
Yet on both occasions the depth of our squad allowed other players to step up to the mark ( Delph,Zinchenko) , this time -Stones/Fern?
If Eric's injury is of a long duration we can do the same again.
