Not buying a centre back when both he and Stones have proven that they can’t be trusted on a regular basis was madness. One injury away from this nightmare pairing and we haven’t done anything about it. If Kompany had been injured all season last year we wouldn’t have won the league. Why they didn’t address this is anyone’s guess.

It's not the first time he's been caught totally unaware of what's happening behind him, amateurish stuff from someone who's played at such a high level.

Same reason we didn’t buy RVP which could’ve won us the league in 2013, there’s a stubbornness with Tixi etc when it comes to transfers.

Might as well play Garcia or Harwood-Bellis with the way Otamendi has been performing. Atrocious mistake that cost us the game and let the whole team down.

He puts in the very occasional world class performance but is a liability and only does what he should do every time about fifty percent of the time. His time at Valencia and during our 100 point season were the purple patches and he's been consistently inconsistent the rest of his career. He makes mistakes you'd find hard to defend when committed by a young player but he's far beyond that now.

This is why nobody would pay his wages in the summer and therefore why we're going to be stuck relying on him until at least January. Absolutely brainless.
