We have a very difficult run in the league in November and early December. So, Pep wants that we decide the Cl group early on to concentrate on the league. Norwich away was a good opportunity to rotate a bit. The players were too relaxed and complacent though. The 3rd goal killed us and it had little to do with KDB being rested. We won 98 pts without having Kevin in most games, ffs.

Yes but that's not really the point. It wasn't our strongest team and that game yesterday should have been the priority. A midfield that can't run would have been better used in Europe where we're not up against a team that rarely drops points
Not against Shakhtar who press and run a lot and are better than Norwich.

Not really about Norwich it's about a team in Liverpool who can keep winning for a couple of months or more. There is no way we won't top that shite group we're in.

They had many injuries then. And last season was last season. We beat Chelsea 6:0 and 3 weeks later struggled to break them down. Football is much more complicated and generalizations like yours are dubious. Shakhtar are better than Norwich.

What are you basing them being better on then?
What has changed since last season that they are now a better team and not the perpetual group stage cannon fodder that they usually are?

Roma struggled against them in the knockout stages 2 years ago, they drew both games with Lyon last season. In particular at their ground they are not easy to beat. Pep called our performance there one of the best ever under him. Let's not be arrogant. Arrogance didn't help us yesterday.
