If Smith were at the crease, I’d agree.
But they still require another 230 odd runs on a wearing pitch without their best player.

Winning the World Cup and levelling the series 2-2 would represent a good summer. I would have preferred to see us reclaim the Ashes, though.

They are giving away runs pretty quickly and easily at the moment. But if the Aussies get 230 runs for their last 5 wickets (without Smith or Labu-wotsit), questions would need to be asked.
