Heywoods chippy, used to love a couple of pasties from there on my way home, covered in salt!!!

After about eleventeen pints in the Star, it was fish and chips on a tray with gravy. No wonder I put on about 4 stone within 12 months of leaving school, as I also had a dinner in the Staff restaurant every day!

Star used to be our fourth stop after the very local Moss Side, Gatefield & Burlington before the Foresters and onwards....happy days.

Only went in the Burlington a few times, even though I played for them in the Sunday league. Too close to one of my best mates - he lived next door, so we didn't drink there.

The Mrs and I used to demolish Moscow Mules at a rapid rate of knots as 17 year olds.
Pints of Belhaven Seahorse Lager and lime used to slip down a treat as well after football. I seem to remember the pre school disco parties consisted of a great many voddy and limes.

Haven’t drunk any of those in the last 45 years.

Anything and black. I used to remember getting so many trainers ruined by people spilling that everywhere. Reef was my go to "I can't handle another pint of beer" drink.
