Anyone know Fern’s christian name? Maybe we should call him Javier? Didn’t Pep turn Javier Mascerano into a top drawer central defender at Barca? Maybe Fern is the next Mascernamo - another 3 years at least with a bit of luck! Hopefully more of the same to come while we are thin on the ground for central defenders? CTID!
 
Could have played in his slippers tonight whilst smoking a nice cigar , and even if Stones and Otto were fit i would prefer Dinho to start , he's a calming influence who can ping a 40 yard ball with precision.
 
Worth picking him for his presence alone, everybody seemed a lot calmer, so much so even Ederson decided to push up a couple of times into midfield for a knockabout.

His first name is Fernando; Fernandinho means little Fernando:
