Would you sacrifice the domestic cups to retain the league?

Of course the league will always remain the priority but I don’t believe you have to sacrifice the cups for the league. The league cup we play a “2nd string” pretty much upto the final. it gives valuable playing time to the likes of Foden and probably Garcia and harwood-bellis this season plus whoever else needs it at the time and it’s over before the champs league knock out stages begin.

the fa cup is a slightly different scenario depending on the draw, fixtures around those dates, potential rearranged games and involvement in the latter rounds of the champs league. sacrifices are sometimes necessary hence why we haven’t won it as much as the league and the league cup since the takeover.

I only ever watch the domestic cup games... wait, what's "the league"??

C'mon dude, this is both rhetorical and a borderline no brainier.

"Sacrifice"?

Never ever ever...

Surely we will go into every single match, no matter which competition, with a steely determination to win.

Winners go for wins... they don't do mumbo jumbo religious rituals like sacrifices.
