Favourite car growing up.

Was that an Ami or a Visa? I thoght the Ami had conventional ( for a Citroen ) stalk controls whereas the Visa ( and the GSA ) had the rotating pod things?

We had a Citroen Visa as well. Boring old thing of a car that was. No it was a Citroen Ami Super I had and it was the pod - lights, washers, wipers, God knows what was on it. Twist a ring here, twist a ring there, pull a bit down, push a bit up. Fantastic!! There was a Citroen Ami and a Citroen Ami Super. I think the Super has a few more cc's than the Ami. Of all the cars I've had that's the only one I'd resurrect in modern form!

Probably mine too, apart from when we went on holiday. Then it was usually this.

Lost count of the number of times we had to call them from the side of the motorway. Smoke billowing from the engine and my mum asking my dad all sorts of helpful, technical questions like, "Has one of the wheels fell off ?"

I had a what I called a Flying Flea - a Fiat 12something. Rear engine, bit of a boot over the engine and a boot in the front. Yer could never have AM on the radio, the interference was horrendous. Mrs Ewing always seemed to go out in it and it would break down. I'd turn up and first turn of the key and it would go. Only time I've blown a gasket on a car. Never seen so much steam envelop a car! I never went far in it! Wouldn't dare.

VW Corrado

They've not aged well but i used to think they were the business when i was about 15
