It would seem to me that we gambled that Kompany would stay(we seem to no longer make knee-jerk signings, I'm not saying that's a bad thing!!!), when that didn't happen they gambled again that we could "get by" with three, now we are down to one, so really it's a whole new ball game

Well there are few players who can improve us & others will push their prices up to stupidity levels, so we can't have our squad perfect every season, by signing players when others go. Which is why creating our own is so important imo & we can do better in that respect.

But we got Rodri, who imo is much more 'City' than Harry Maguire. It might be that we are a bit below ideal in some areas this season, but we still have got 'our man' for the future in that position & have only missed out on filler players in others.

It's better than signing numbers, like Mancini & Pellegrini did.

We can't guarantee a title every season, we have to work on what we have.
