City no longer have a "travel partner" Thomas Cook has gone.

Bollocks! Booked for Vegas with my mates in April. Flights only so not covered by ATOL. We did booked via a credit card so should get our money back at some point.
The main trouble is getting another flight. I'd imagine all the other airlines will be doubling their prices...
Shouldn’t be a problem, just book a flight to New York, then an internal one to Vegas, plenty to choose from. If you haven’t booked accommodation yet consider the Tuscany Suites, huge rooms, 10 minutes walk to the strip near the High Roller, great choice of very reasonably priced restaurants an beers for 3 dollars, along with a casino of course. All for around £45 a night for a double room. They also have the Ratpack show on there. I was booked in at an expensive place but Mrs H lost her job so we “downgraded” so pleased we did the Tuscany was great.

The TC trips were generally the most expensive but people liked them because it was a day trip and others because they organised coaches to and from the stadium.

I read earlier this year the airline is profitable but the holiday business has dragged the company down. Hopefully someone steps in. I went to Vegas a couple of years ago with TC on a converted military plane, the Air Tanker, non stop about 12 hours, plenty of leg room and brilliant service, such a shame for the staff and of course those who will miss their flights/holidays.
Sad for the staff & people with arranged holidays etc. Flew on a Military plane to New York 18 months ago with the family it was fine.

Yes speaking to the girls from the travel agents next door, they are snowed under trying to re book people but prices are shooting up.

Question just been asked on Five Live with travels experts about a package that was booked for the City game at Anfield which include seat tickets, they said its likely that the tickets have gone however, LFC have made a statement saying they are looking at the implications of the collapse of TC and once they have information will issue an update

Not wrong there, direct flights to Alicante in October are around £250, normally flying at not great times offers of around £50 are available, going off the scale this morning

TUI will make a killing. Booked both my holidays with them next year as the writing was on the wall for TC. Friend stuck in Greece at the moment awaiting a flight.

Has same problem myself when monarch went, paid via barclaycard, only took 10 days or so to get refund

Booked the TC trip to Atalanta/Milan. :-(

Spoke to TC on Saturday.

Said they would know more on Monday.

Said no money would be taken from my credit card until City confirmed I had a ticket.

Will ring up my credit card company today to see if TC have taken the money before going bust.
