Everton (a) Post-Match Thread

Everton away is always a tough game for us, their team and crowd are always really up for it. At present we have a couple of big injuries unlike the only team above us. We won 3 - 1 despite some below par performances. We are becoming so spoilt if we are unhappy with that.

Don't agree, they had a few half chances but we created better ones, that is why we scored 3 to their 1.

We missed two of the easiest chances which must be in the top 10% easiest ever chances bracket. Well Gundogan's was in the top 0.01%.

But we have to find a way of defending headers etc. Liverpool will score 5 for a start, if we don't.

No one can defend corners against Yerry Mina. We did as well as anyone will. We can maybe stop the crosses coming in.

I thought City played a good game against Everton. We won 3-1 but had we taken very easy chances the game would have been over earlier.

Tough game which we made tougher than it should of been especially with 2/3 big chances missed by Gundagon, Sterling & KDB.
Mahrez really stepped up when we needed him & Rodri was excellent and he is getting better every week.
Every chance the opposition are getting our defence is being highlighted & scrutinised in the media in the hope it will put extra pressure on us. Fernandinho & Otamendi will improve as a partnership the more they play together.
A good solid 3 points won and hopefully another vs Wolves next Sunday.

How many saves did Pickford make? Eddie had to pull off a very few decent saves

What tosh.

We scored 3 so Pickford would have needed to make two additional saves to even things up.

Eddie made two decent saves.

Gundogan missed an open net from two yards.

Sterling missed the goal from 8 yards when clean through. We should have had a minimum of 5.

We had 20 shots to their 12 and 2/3rds of the possession. There’s no metric, from stats to simply watching with the human eye, that suggests Everton deserved a draw.

Nobody even put in a challenge worth the name.

We would have had the same problem v Pogba or any other mid table tall player.

Maybe Eddie needs to come out and dominate his 6 yard box to counteract our lack of height, only issue with that is an outswinging corner can leave him in no mans land
