Did VAR look at this and decide it was onside?
C-L is in an offside position in this picture, but the ball goes to Coleman, who's onside, so C-L isn't part of the play. Then when Coleman plays the ball across the box, C-L is onside, so in both cases, when the ball was played, the players who were part of the play were onside.

I can’t believe it’s a debating point. It’s been the same for the past 15+ years.

No no no, the Chelsea goal was offside.they brought it it back because a player in an off side position played the ball.
