He needs time to adjust to the pace of this league together with being in a different country.

He did gift possession for the goal but it was purely Otamendi's fault. If he had remained on his feet rather than diving in there would not have been the easy pass to create the one on one. Cancelo showed glimpses of his attacking play putting two sublime passes in during the first ten minutes. The only thing for me is he needs to understand playing with a faster tempo when we have teams playing with 10 behind the ball. Too many times he slowed it down in the second half - this was his first real start in the PL so it would be wrong to expect him to get to grips straight away - also playing as left back didn't do him any favours. He'll be fine as he has the quality.

Now this is exactly how we should look at Cancelo’s quality and performance today. Lad needs time to adapt. Very good player.

Playing a right back at left back and have no one helping him? I thought he was poor but Neither Sterling or Silva who were both playing on that side were doing anything to help him defensively.

Is it just pure arrogance from the team and Pep that we are playing Wolves at home and we will win?
 
Poor, caught out defensively and mistake for first goal for which he tracked back like Kolarov used to
