Very much tempering any expectations for the league this season after the start we've had. Just imagine the looks on the scousers faces if we claw back the deficit though, would be magical.

One can hope...

At last a thread that isn't an abortion.

This might just be their year. Not really that bothered, it was going to happen at some time. We still won more than them, we still have the brighter future considering they have corporate American owners who NEED to make as much profit as possible,year on year.

I don't think we're going to collapse, I don't even think it is over.. Liverpool are going to be under pressure now for 7months! And they still have an injury crisis hanging over them.

Bottom line, it's way too early to call, but even if they win, so what, they're still behind us in prem titles

Despite Pep and his looney line ups and the corruption that is VAR the ONLY reason we are 8 points behind is injuries. Losing Sane Laporte Stones Kev and Mendy is just ridiculous. With those players available Pep wouldn't have to fuck about so much and VAR would proper have its work cut out to stop us. Whats funny is despite our rotten luck and depleted squad Liverpool still have to cheat and pay keepers off to top the table. Win both our games and then and watch them fold.

When we come back stronger (whether it’s soon enough for this title race or not), it will be all the more satisfying.

The cheats at UEFA, FIFA, SKy, the Prem, the BBC and PGMOL might get complacent and we might still retain the title.

Four League Titles in my City watching days is far more than I every dreamt of. That said, I wouldn’t mind the big ears this year and our easy CL group has helped to kick start our campaign.

It's not going to be their year. We're better than them and they have a paper thin squad. Once our better defenders are back we'll go on a long unbeaten run and the number of games will catch up with the over a long season.

Keepers won't continue to throw the ball in their own net either, this disproportionate run of scouse luck won't go on forever. Injuries will come their way.
 
Hate International breaks normally but this one has come at exactly the right time, regroup, get KDB and John Stones back and maybe give Angelino a game in his specialised position. Eric Garcia has to be given a chance as well which would allow Ferdy to push up into midfield where he’s at his most effective.
 
Please, someone, say something positive to me. I am losing the will to live.

(Spending time on the Brexit thread does that).
