Terrible, you have to have eyes the the back of your head now. When somebody gets on a Metrolink tram with a large rucksack I am always looking to see if I can see any wires.

It will be interesting to see what sentence this latest attacker gets, in light of a recent knife death in Greater Manchester.

No doubt they would have if armed police were in attendance. I know what I would prefer given a choice between a taser and a gun vs a lunatic with a knife.

Looks like it was an armed cop with the Taser. They're trained to deal with situations like this.
He obviously felt confident to use Taser rather then his side arm.
