Amazing time, did he run it without actual pace makers?
Seem to recall another athlete attempted a sub 2hr some time ago but that was with organised pace makers brought in by the organisers, sadly the time wasn't recognised

Fantastic achievement by one of the greatest runners of all time. Luckily I flew out for this and got a spot, 20 metres from the finish.

Well worth watching the docs about his previous attempt in Monza and the build up to this race. Seems a great human being on top of being a phenomenal athlete.
