You only see or hear of racist incidents at football games in England in one-off individual incidents every few seasons these days out of 12m Prem tickets alone bought every season. And I’ve personally heard/seen one racist incident in my whole City supporting time and I started going in 1989.

To the point where inside football grounds in England I do not think there’s a racism problem whatsoever.

Back in 1980, everyone’s experiences will be in stark contrast to mine.

Perhaps I should have more precise as this thread, I thought, was about international games.

Nothing has changed in those times, dealing with the same type of idiots from the same type of countries that did/ do the chanting.

The club game has, mostly, changed for the good.
