I only had football but my one of my friends had cricket and rugby neither of which I liked. I remember once at a party, I was drunk and went for a dump. Sat on the toilet, there was a magazine open with an advert for the latest subbuteo game, swimming. I thought this could be fun. I was taken in until it described as a game accessory numerous spectators including "Sharon Davies and latest boyfriend". Turns out I was reading an edition of Viz magazine.

Playing Subbuteo was almost as boring as watching Kiss playing live mate(I should imagine; )

I had Subbuteo, but always found it too fiddly to play for long. I much preferred playing with my Johnny Hot-Shot.

Yes but she was like Pep Guardiola with Phil Foden, made promises but rarely put me in.

Wasn't a mad fan of subbuteo but played a lot of that Striker game, it was tin you pressed their heads when the ball came to you.

I had Newfooty first. The players were just cardboard shapes stuck into the base, later they were on a kind of thin plastic film. Think Newfooty went bust, that's when I got Subbuteo with the more lifelike figures. Never bothered with the floodlights and all the fancy extra bits & pieces but it was a great game to play in the backroom for a couple of years until the girl from next door started coming round.

How long had she been unconscious?
