Pep's Oasis Lyrics on his wall

I heard it was actually changed to a Smiths number after the Wolves defeat - There’s a club if you’d like to go, you could meet somebody who really loves you. So you go and you stand on your own, and you leave on your own, and you go home and you cry and you want to die

Simplicity works. If songwriters use works like 'ambiguous emotive wording', they're less likely to have people relate and/or sing their songs out loud. The simple anthem that people can relate to will always create more Oasis or Kasabians than say and Eddie Venner or a Bob Dylan. John Lennon & Paul McCartney's writing isn't too far off the Gallaghers - in terms of the English used. Springsteen, Neil Young (the other one), Jagger, Richards, Simon, Cohen... they use wording that is smooth and clear. Good stories mostly. Bowie, tended to keep his words simple, but there was always something extra in there. Take away the music and Oasis weren't bad poets though.
Who the f**k is Eddie Venner please correct before Banned tosspot see's this post ;-)
