TV Fixture Changes 2019/20

We’ve just spoken to the Premier League and, unfortunately, there isn’t much clarity that they can provide.

They’re still ‘hopeful’ of an announcement today and have assured us that it will arrive tomorrow at the latest - which still isn’t helpful for supporters.

When asked about the delay, they added that it was due to sorting out ‘policing and infrastructure’.

So as I thought. Basically Amazon don’t have the infrastructure to broadcast the games they bidded for/purchased simultaneously and are causing all the delays as they need to stagger them.

If that is the case they should be taken off them and told to do one.

Yes, absolutely, and while they're told to 'do one', tell them we don't need anymore global specials covering gods own club. ...

What we know so far

The Premier League has assured us that, at the very latest, the TV fixtures will be released by the end of play tomorrow.

Asked about the delay, they said it was due to ‘policing and infrastructure’ - adding they are ‘hopeful’ that the fixtures will be released today.

However, there is no guarantee though and fans will have to continue waiting - an incredibly frustrating outcome, considering the details have been delayed since last Friday.

It is understood that Amazon, holders of Premier League rights for the first time, are dividing their Boxing Day coverage with four live matches.

According to reports, one of the Boxing Day games will be Leicester City v Liverpool at 8pm, while Manchester City’s trip to Wolves will reportedly be moved to December 27th.
