Not been to Palace before and trying to research pre-match pubs.
Wetherspoons Flora Sandes opposite Thornton Heath station is no longer a pub and is now a gym.
The Railway Telegraph near Thornton Heath station looks possible but they only allow away fans in some games.
Prince George Pub on way to ground appears to welcome away fans.
But when Everton played them in August their away fan guide stated that there were no pubs open in the local vicinity allowing visiting supporters - same for us?
Croydon looks a possibility - one train stop away - where there's Boxpark (the Wembley one was fun) next to East Croydon station and The Ship is recommended.
Plus drinking near London Bridge station is also a plan.
Where are people planning to go?

Both those pubs railway telegraph and prince George accepted city fans last year although the telegraph was home fans only post match but got in the prince George ok.
The telegraph is now a 'cocktail and sports bar' so if had a refurb the away fans rule might have changed

For directly around the ground, There’s a big one on the corner near the ground (name escapes me but it’s impossible to miss) that let in away fans but it gets hammered very very quickly and if you’re not there early enough you’ll get turned away.

Other than that, there’s little else other than buying cans from the local off-license or going into the ground. Palace do always have their own dj for the outside “concourse” in the ground in fairness to them which always makes for one of the livelier pre-match concourses if you’re just after a bit of atmosphere.

We’re gonna come in from London Bridge, get off at Norwood Junction. Shelverdine Goathouse (great name) is the away boozer on the way to the ground apparently. All ears though if someone has a decent suggestion where there will be loads of City

I work near London Bridge, there’s some decent pubs. There’s one called the Old Kings Head that is pretty cheap (think it’s Millwall though) further up though I like the Kings Arms - good beer and traditional pub vibe.

Old Kings head down the alley at the back of London Bridge is aways full of city roughly opposite Borough Market cheap beer compared to many round there like the Barrowboy & Banker
10 mins on the train to Norwood Junction
