I,m taking 3 days off wen fergie dies....jelly and ice cream.I wasn't sure if the public holiday was in Bermuda,hence the question marks. It would be great to have Shaun Goater MBE day as the often mooted extra public holiday between August Bank Holiday and Christmas.
Then Shaun would be loved by even more people in the UK -everybody body loves a day off work.

Top man met him at the Leicester away game in our lounge when the club did they free tickets & televised the game a couple of seasons ago.
Yep, great bloke.
Before KK brought in the heavies to escort the players from the car park into Maine Road, we used to wait for Shaun, his wife and twin girls almost every game. He was always very friendly and happy to chat.
I also met him at a Macclesfield (I think it was) branch evening just after the start of the 99/00 season. He was very entertaining; he revealed that the real reason Nicky Weaver saved the fourth Gillingham penalty was because he knew that The Goat was due to take City's fifth!

Worth a place on the bench in ANY City squad IMO, never the prettiest of players but had that priceless commodity of being able to put the ball in the net, shin, knee, ass, ear, and a lovely guy to have around.

My son and his three mates used to bet on him being a scorer at most matches, they had to open a bank account to put their pooled winnings in.
He still celebrates his birthday and has a signed photograph of him carrying the flag for the Bermuda team at the Manchester Commonwealth Games, nattily attired in Bermuda shorts.

No fucking hate it. Went to an amazingly beautiful beach called horseshoe bay but once I had been in it for an hour - what happens then?
I don’t get it.
Was like waiting for a bus 9 hours a day but boilimg my arse off. I would go mad if I lived there. I was homesick for Manchester after a week.
I absolutely love where I live.
