To be fair, I may have slagged the lino off a bit too much. Not an easy one.

But my point still stands, I think English officials make far too many errors for people who are supposed to be the best in the business. That's why I think it had to be brought in.

Why do you think it was brought in?

Do not disagree about English referees being inept, especially compared to officials from other top leagues.

But it was brought in under pressure from fans seeing it implemented elsewhere. However, because totally unbiased, accurate officiating would threaten the business model of the PL, they were forced in to modifying VAR so that it is the least effective version of itself, open to the most manipulation possible.
