Var debate 2019/20

ballinio. The only way that VAR will work is for the decision to be shown on the big screens at the clubs that have them. Until that happens all ref's and those who handle VAR will be accused of cheating. As for those clubs that do not have big screens, they should be given until the start of next season to install 2 screens 1 at either end of the ground. If this is not done they should face a penalty points deduction of 10pts.

The only reason I can think of that neither Liverpool or Man Utd have big screens at their grounds, is that they would show up how the refs are giving them some very dubious pens. These if they are reviewed, and shown on the big screen would not be given.

Screens were put up at the swamp for the Rugby League recently so it can be done. Problem is that it reduces the capacity and we can't be having that can we for our poor little neighbours! The system has to be the same at all grounds or not used at all. Replays shown on big screens and refs should be miked up so that those at home can hear what is being said to arrive at the decision. Problem with though is that the refs will get caught out as they were at Klanfield the other year (Jon Moss0

This will never happen as it will throw light on their obvious incompetence and conscious/unconscious bias. Plus, it will stop them being able to cheat as easily as they do now.

They are more likely to bin VAR altogether.

So when a player does a potential career ending challenge that the ref did not spot (Bertrand the other night)

when a player does a ridiculous dive in the area and wins a penalty.

when a player handballs it into the goal.

we say... oh well, at least we don’t have VAR anymore ‘
Go and watch the many pens the rags and dippers have been given, most were dives,it's being used to advantage certain clubs,i would be fine if it was used properly, this last weekend they have changed the rules and are overturning the refs and giving loads of dodgy decisions, they are in a hole and they keep digging and heaven forbid they would tell us about the rule changes they are doing as we go along

?

first example happened , Bertrand made a really bad challenge , luckily VAR spotted this and he got sent off.

how many dives have there been for penalty’s this season ? Maybe a couple have fooled VAR. But overall I’d say this will decrease around 90%

and a handball goal that’s been allowed to stand in the Prem ? I can’t think of one.

whilst many are going mad at VAR they are forgetting how much cheating is being prevented.
Decreasing dives? wise up

Geordies had a handball goal given,it was clear to the naked eye let alone var and walton reckons they didn't have the correct view,it was as clear as day on the replay and agreed by the pundits, they disallowed ours after forensic several mins, not one player from either side claimed for it,disallowing it was also against their own rules,if you are going to wum on var you will need beter material

They stated before the season started the reviews would be shown on the screens at the ground, the fact the rags and dippers don't have screens and are are 1 and 2 in the pens given chart, several of their pens have been dives, that kid at the rags has been booked twice for diving but he keeps doing it as they are getting a lot of pens that way
The whole thing stinks and i was a solid advocate for it

Has anyone read what happened at Napoli yesterday?

Winning 2-1 against Atalanta, last few mins Llorente is dragged down in the area, blatant as you like pen. Ref ignores it, played up by Atalanta who bag straight from that.

Its onside, but ref spends 5 mins with VAR in his ear discussing the pen decision. Doesnt give it, also doesnt go view it himself weirdly enough.

Ancelotti goes mental and gets sent off. Finished a desmond.

Was bent as fuck. They look at the screens most games and esp considering it took 5 mins to not look was criminal. It was a pen too, the defender is more concerned stopping Llorente jump than defend the ball.

It's Italy.
