Cologne went out of the cup with an embarressing 3-2 defeat at Regionalliga Club Saarbrücken, came back from 2 -0 down only to finally giving it away in the last minute. I only watched the first half on telly, it ended 0:0, but one could see that there's so much lack of confidence in the team, had all the possession but never really threatened Saarbrücken's goal. Had to leave then, as I was going to a concert (again, not Slayer though, mind, but of a Cologne singer/songwriter).

Highlight of the DFB Cup was Dynamo Dresden away at Hertha BSC Berlin.

Dynamo travelled over with 35000 away fans:

Absolutely love the song "Traum vom Europacup" which Dresden sings.

"I had a dream and this dream was wonderful, Europacup an away match in Amsterdam, all the people from Dresden on the terraces sing a song for you, Ohhh Elbflorenz (Nickname of Dresden) you fight for us, we fight for you la la la laaaaa".

Perfectly captures the emotions/feeling that you have if you support a shit team and dream of seeing them on the big stage. As a Frankfurt fan I can definitely relate.

Frankfurt has a similar song which I love: "Times of glory and days of sadness, we stand with you, no questions asked, our colours and our flags just like the hearts that beat in our chest. All the people on the terrace sing in one big choir Come on Frankfurt, Come on Frankfurt and the terrace sings as one big choir, Come on Frankfurt score a goal.
With the eagle in our heart we were born, the moody Diva (nickname of Eintracht) has chosen us, Eintracht you give us joy and let us feel sadness, but we stand with you without regrets."

Sounds a bit shit if translated to English but well...its not all about the typical "Ultras lala laaaa" stuff. ;-)

My mates lived in Dresden for 25 years (hes a Wednesday fan) and we went to see him last month and watched Dynamo play Hanover.Their support is amazing.

My Leeds mate who goes over a lot says they remind him of City fans before the money....loyal as fuck.

Frankfurt 5-1 Bayern. They are complete mess. Light years off. Surely Sane won't want to go to that shit? He is not gonna change anything alone. They lack motivation, spirit, structure, identity and need huge investment.
