It's been close at times but Aguero hasn't missed one in league games for over 3 years. Under Pep in the league he is 12 from 13 and a conversion rate of 92.30%. His all time record in league games is 87.09% That's excellent for a player with a long-term record of penalties when the average is about 78%.

87.09% Aguero (27/31)

Better than:
86.36% Kane (19/22)
85.86% Ronaldo (79/92)
85.41% Lampard (41/48)
83.07% Messi (54/65)
82.75% Mario (24/29)
80.43% Shearer (37/46)

Just short of:
88.88% Henry (24/27)
88.88% Lewandowski (24/27)

What’s Yaya’s record? Best I’ve ever seen.

Gundogan is the best penalty taker all day long , annoys me when Jesus or Sergio step up to take penalties to improve their goals tally when the bigger picture should be the team , if i was putting my mortgage (if i had one :) on a player scoring a penalty it would be Gundo , he's German you know.

KDB sounds good but there is a reason he doesn't take them. How many penalty shootouts have we had with him still on the pitch and he seemingly never goes forward to take one. It just doesn't work for him.

At the moment it seems Walker is our "go to" guy for everything else- why not penalties?

I suspect Rodri and Cancelo could both be worthwhile options. I always like the idea of several takers available. It makes it harder for keepers to predict

Think that was possibly the worst penalty I've ever seen live in the flesh last night.

Agree with others that Gundogan should take them moving forward, although I seem to recall him missing one in a penalty shoot-out for us at some point? Don't think there is anyone in the squad with the same unnerving calm from the spot as Yaya or Balotelli, sadly.

It was defo on a par with D Silva’s against Southampton and Bony’s against Sunderland.
