Them suddenly trendy pie & mash shops in Sarf London put a green "liquor" on it with parsley and eel juice.
Now that is weird.

Never heard of it either, but chips and gravy is well known and wonderful as is cheese and onion pie and chips and gravy, so cheesy chips with gravy is just losing the pastry.You live and learn. I’ve never seen that before. I’ve heard of cheesy chips but never with gravy.

I couldn’t have gravy on a cheese and onion pie. In fact I couldn’t eat a cheese and onion pie full stop.
