Even BBC radio Manchester, you know, our local station, failed to go into any kind of detail as to why it “failed” and what it all actually means truthfully, pretty bad really that even they are happy to go along the sensationalist line.

Is that the same BBC radio Manchester that binned off Ian Cheeseman for saying it as it is about Anthony Taylor?

Another way of looking at it - if CAS had upheld our appeal, we would have faced the accusation 'Well, you only got off on a technicality because UEFA cocked up'. In any case, we want to win the case on the facts - not a technicality. Khaldoon is so right on this point.

I'd say you're wrong on that last bit as the 5 year time limit for reopening a case has passed. UEFA is now time-barred from bringing a case that relates to the 2014 settlement. This is their only shot at this.

If the CAS and UEFA AC is a genuine evidence-based process, last chances and motive wont count.

Of the two, I have a lot more faith in the former body. The UEFA AC is still part of UEFA, ie two cheeks of the same arse. I agree though, our case seems pretty strong from both an evidentiary and procedural perspective.

CAS wouldn’t make a judgement before any sanction handed down by UEFA. City can only go to CAS after UEFA impose sanction.

I still think they will find us guilty of a lesser trumped-up charge that allows them to fine us a paltry amount, which we will begrudgingly accept in order to draw a line under the whole affair.

Maybe as long as they give a full statement that completely clears the Club from all aspects of FFP suspicion.

The social media figures for global fan base suggest otherwise, liverpool are only a few million ahead of City, it’s just another myth.

Last time I checked, across all major platforms they were three million ahead, and if I remember correctly that was mainly due to Twitter followers, it would be correct to say united are far ahead but definitely not true for liverpool.
