Do we actually have a transfer strategy?

Do you? We have got a vast majority of our transfers were very right, hence our success, but I am sure if you asked our Execs privately, vanDyke is one that they had wished they had signed the cheque.
You clearly rate him more than I do, and that's fine. We have no idea whether the board see it as an opportunity missed

Our strategy for the most part is to by young players who are close to being world class who just need their game fine tuning. This strategy has provided us with success across the pitch. The only place this has not worked and has actually gone very wrong is the defence. Bar laporte all of our young signings havent worked we have had this problem at full backs with mendy and danilo to a lesser extent with the latter. At fullbacks our best success has been with the ready made player in walker who we payed a lot of money for and even he hasnt been as good a signing as laporte as he has been inconsistent last season and this season so far. cancelo will probably turn out good though. We need to stop taking risks with younger in experianced players at defence and buy ready made world class or top class players who can fit right in.
