Euro Qualifiers Nov’19

Time for the return of the face.
Surely you are not implying McGuire is not worth £80m? No mention in the media and we know they like to comment on the value of our purchases even though they are settling into the PL or even injured.

A few random and rambling thoughts after watching England. Harry Kane, despite all his goals, is about as athletic and mobile as me and I'll be 61 next April. Let's hope the scum pay 200 million for him next summer. Tyrone Mings looks like a barman who won a competition to play for England. Phil Foden should be a first pick for City and England. Muric should be our back up keeper and Bravo should be on the first banana boat back to South America.

So you came on the the thread to basically slate Bravo? Well done on the use of 'banana boat' not heard that since my grandad said it in the 70's.....

TEAM NEWS: Sergio Aguero and Nicolas Otamendi both start in an international friendly for Argentina this evening, against Uruguay.

TEAM NEWS: Rodri is a named substitute for Spain tonight, as they take on Romania in a EURO 2020 qualifier.

Beacuse these national teams auction off their friendlies to other countries. So whatever organisation/country is hosting the match will demand that certain star players play as part of the deal.

Last season there was a controversy over Messi not playing vs Morocco in a friendly, and there had also been reports about components of the deal that made Morocco promise they wouldn't tackle him. There was also controversy with Ronaldo staying on the bench in South Korea during Juve's preseason tour. These hosts buy the rights to the friendlies and promote the big name players to sell tickets. If that weren't the case, then there's now way in hell Messi or Aguero would've even been called up this month, since they both normally sit these international breaks out.

Thanks,money over players health again

Denmark 1 up in Dublin. Poor goal to concede, the centre of the Irish defence caught dozing. The win means Denmark will qualify, while the Irish have to go through the play offs, unless they can score twice in the last 11+ minutes. Highly unlikely. Truth be told, its been a poor game. Not much quality on show from either team.
