... founder member of Beyond the Fringe along with Peter Cook, Dudley Moore and Alan Bennett. Classical conductor, too, I think. A real Renaissance Man.

Undoubtedly he deserves a thread - incredible and diverse talent - the minute I heard I thought of this - " Goodbye Sir...or is it au revoir? " "No Perkins its goodbye" lol - however with his work in the theatre and opera he was much more complex than a comedy actor.
