City Football Group | Secure $650m loan facility for infrastructure projects (p 54)

What rules ? The money went to the overall Group CFG not MCFC. Plus it is going to be used apparently to bolster its “technology and infrastructure assets.”Perhaps you are one that is stupid & well as down right rude ! There is nothing in the rules that prevent City's owners investing in the overall Group. Wouldn't be surprised if you and Oakiecokie (if not the same person) were bullies at school.

Looks like you are a rag (or suspected one) if you disagree or just plain stupid ... Anyway leave you two intellectuals , lovely people to carry on shouting down anybody that has a different view ... Instead when someone has a different view, I should learn to call them stupid, a rag or say they sound like one and when they make a typo have a go at constantly belittling them . No you can do that perfectly well on your own. Leave you to it !
Scoobz1. Are you a journalist?

This isn't good news - 10 % stake going to venture capitalists - all they care about is a return ! The Chinese deal made sense as there was a media company involved and the chance to increase and substantially grow the franchise using their expertise. There doesn't appear to be anything strategic about this alliance. Let's hope this doesn't become a growing trend or x years down the line it could be Glazer's like with football taking very much a back seat ....

I was all excited last night, had a wonderful dream too about new investment in the club I love and support, just had a quick look on here before I push the trolley 'round Morrisons and realised we're fucked..!

What the fuck was Khaldoon thinking?

Here's me thinking half a billion dollars investment for 10% share in my club is what dreams are made of and all the time our Chairman's only gone and fucked us right over to get our owners money back so he can then fuck off, should have seen this coming to be honest as he's been looking a bit bored in the pictures I've seen of him lately ..!

Luckily I still have my old Chelsea scarf in the drawer, Frank's doing a great job, I'll go back supporting them...!

11-12 yrs ago we nearly ceased to exist,if you can't cheer where we are now then that's a bit sad,a well run profitable club is why we have pep and great players after a long journey with bobby and mp,other clubs exsist on debt,we don't

As a fan I'll cheer the team on the pitch, I'll let the accountants cheer this one.

How do you see it panning out, mate?

I’m by no means an expert in the industry, but I know enough to know Endeavor are the biggest cheese in terms of agencies and are owned by Silver Lake. I’m sure that could open up a world of possibilities, but don’t City have a relationship with their rivals CAA?

Also as soon as I saw the Oak View relationship, straight away I thought that opens up the possibility of the new arena being built under the City umbrella as opposed to a separate company renting land co-owned by City and the council.

If Oak View (via SilverLake) just spent £500m building an arena, that’s one thing. But if Oak View invest that £500m in to CFG in return for a 10% stake in the group, and the CFG use that £500m to build the arena, then surely that opens up a world of possibilities for City to increase their revenue exponentially, and it gives Silverlake and Oak View a foothold in other key markets like NY, China, Australia, possibly soon to be India?

I might have got the wrong end of the stick, but it’s surely no coincidence that Oak View are looking to build that arena on City owned land.

Oak View launched OVG International a couple of month ago, they aim to do the same thing in the rest of the world as they have done in the US, they will challenge ASM in every market and it's going to get messy, OVG International are backed by Live Nation. So we have basically picked a side in the global clash of the promoter titans. We will build the arena in Manchester with OVG and Live Nations acts will play the Eastlands arena instead of MEN, OVG will most likely also be involved in NYCFC's arena. OVG, islanders, MSG and Mets has previously done everything in their power to block us, but now we're on the same side. We have been dealing with both Endavor and CAA for a long time so thats no problem. We actually helped William Morris and Silver Lake to buy IMG back in 2013, the same year that IMG founded the Indian Super Leauge. There's also a few casino giants involved with Oak View so maybe we will finally get a super casino in Eastern Manchester!

I think that I`ll take that as a compliment with ref to being a school bully. At 69 years of age I`ve got broad shoulders, unlike yourself.
Why would our Owner need to put any more money into his own club when for the 5th consecutive year,we`ve shown a profit and showing sustainability. The great man has spent more than enough out of his own pocket and has never asked for a penny of that back,as they were not loans.
You seem to be very disenchanted with the manner in which our Board operates, which is very strange seeing we drew in some £530M of income, only slightly bettered by the Rags, but next season as most knowledgeable people have stated we will pass them.
