Is posting on forums 'sad'

If something happens not just to do with football but general stuff I look on here.
Like today with the terrible events in london for someone who doesn't have faceshite or Twitter etc I find this the best way to gain information.
As far as posting in here is concerned I think everyone who's on here is a sad ****

Ha! I guess on other forms of social media you get to choose who you follow, so you’re perhaps more likely to live within an echo chamber there. Whereas on forums people are just lumped together regardless of background, beliefs, or whatever. On balance that’s a good thing, I think, as you’re more likely to get your views challenged.
Most on here have one single minded religion though.

The trouble is that on Twitter, even if I don't follow people like Ewan McKenna (and they're blocked), you still end up seeing their bile when it's screenshot or people you follow respond. There's too many haters on there that City fans react to. If City fans didn't follow or react to McKenna and the like he would not have the 'profile' he does now. (That's not to say I don't admire what Rabin does to him).

At least on here we are mostly blues and a mix of decent fans of other clubs so it's usually less toxic. Unless we lose!

I think anything can be constituted as ‘sad’.
Watching a bunch of blokes kick a ball around, Going to pop concerts, watching certain types of movies, going shopping. Anything can be Deemed as ‘sad’ , end of the if that’s your enjoyment- who cares what others think.

*back to my boyzone album to review for northern people I don’t know on a football forum.

Not if you've got nobody else to talk too.
I would imagine there are plenty of ppl for whom social media is a real lifeline. This is the only site I generally post on; dont do twatter etc., but I keep in touch with developments in certain health issues by looking at specialist sites, which has proved very useful.
