I'm starting a new job that requires weekly travel to London (two days with one night over).

Has anyone got any advice for saving on trains, etc?

I'm considering driving to Watford and jumping on a train from there.

If you want to use less petrol look at driving to brum and using chilton trains.

I have found cheap trains to london from them in the past

No, I've got to sort it out myself. Not ideal but it's a move I need to make.
Rather than drive to Watford and getting the train into town you’d be better driving to Luton airport parkway and getting a train in. It’s nearer to the motorway, has more parking and trains run all night. Train fares will be about the same.
