They are a annoying but I accepted early doors that you shouldn’t go to Vegas for a cheap time, you should go for a good time and it delivers that in spades.
kinda not the point, which was for the first timer to watch for hidden fees which can vary widely.
and why would you go for anything but a good time?
You can do Vegas very frugally if you choose, why should someone not go to Vegas if they don't have loads of cash? You can have just as good a time if you don't.
There are tons of inexpensive things to do, things to see, places to stay, places to eat, buy cheap liquor, and of course the dam and all the natural wonders. One that i don't see mentioned was the Valley of Fire park just east of LV, better than red rocks imo. And not too far to the northeast are the National parks in southwest Utah.
We always go for eight days minimum and rent a car and that opens up the options to not pay strip prices for everything and visit all the other non strip casinos that seem to not be as tight. Long desert drives are a wonderful wind down. We've done well enough where we haven't had to skimp, and have paid up and enjoyed it, but i rarely loose sight of value which is what I'm getting at. $250 rooms and $14 nightclub drinks are a thing of the past for us.
I need as much money as possible to donate to help pay the Las Vegas light bill.
Tuscany Suites and Casino mentioned earlier by a couple others is good value. We have stayed there twice and would stay there again anytime.
But I just as much like the slower pace of Laughlin at the Aquarius.
