They’ve clearly been more effective, so far, but the bent refereeing and VAR interventions are certainly helping their cause

Let’s hope for a little miracle in the 2nd half eh?

Its got nothing to do with that...their tactics are beating ours......Wolves did it....Liverpool do it constantly....same type of games - even spurs did it last season in the champs league but it was al forgotten due to the 3rd goal they scored with a hand....but in that game Son was running us ragged n the break and could have had numerous goals.

other teams try it but they dont have the quality upfront to exploit us too often.....look at the newcastle first goal for instance...pacey attacker on the break scores . (Not the second by Shelvy)

Fred's arm is directly below his body when the ball hits it, so it fits perfectly into the handball law.

It is, however, considered natural for a player to put their arm between their body and the ground for support when falling, so long as the arm is not extended to make the body bigger.
His arm is directly below his body when it gets hit.

No penalty.

like I said - get out clause

The only thing VAR in its current form has done is to put another level of decision making in where the can influence games. It gives them a minute or so to think 'can we get away with this if we give it ?' 'have a listen to what the commentators are saying before we decide.'

it's fundamentally bent and I'm closer to being done with the game than ever before. The establishment do this with everything. Power obsessed pricks who can't stop sticking their noses in until they control it all. Same with politics, education, music, you name it, suck the life out of everything.

Oh yeah, and we can't defend for shit.

Its our incompetence not VAR that's beating us.

Yes, but that penalty decision has not been overturned all season long, today it has been, Man Utd players have been given licence to slide in with their arms not a concern, do you think those would not have been given the other way around or to liverpool?

We have not been great, slow and ponderous in attack, like in Mancini's final season, the fast one touch passes have become forgotten, the defence has been very poor, we have been exposed by pace time and time again.
