Do we actually have a transfer strategy?

Vincent was not our best defender, leader for sure , but Pep had complete trust in him to deliver, something he does not have with either Stones or Otto.
Disagree, I think Vinny was the best we have had so far. Who would you say is better then him?

Laporte was by far our best defender.

Vinny was past his best, BUT was a magnificent leader on the pitch and particularly in the dressing room.

Cancelo haven't had a run in the team. Mahrez is an okay signing and a good squad player. Rodri is an excellent signing. We just didnt' foresee a Laporte injury and couldn't match the fee for Maguire. Nothing wrong at all with the transfer strategy. A CB and a winger if Sane leaves, get Foden, Zinchenko and Angelino to improve and we're okay for next season.

When we have a loss, this forum is filled with utterly embarrassing shite. How anyone can suggest we have no strategy, when we have witnessed the greatest football of our time, is totally beyond my comprehension. Get a grip.

People who blame Var or Liverpool's apparent luck are the ones who need to get a grip on here right now.
Few home truths need to be dished out here..

We are an ageing team ,and some real investment will be needed over the next 2 years to prevent Liverpool getting a vice-grip on the premier league and Europe over the next 5 years.
If we dont, nobody else will.

A few home thuths are that this club has become one of the world's leading clubs in a decade. We are treble winners and record breakers. We have been decimated by injury that has taken our whole left side - Laporte, Sane and Zinchenko are all out and Mendy has had two severe knee injuries since we bought him.

Our opponents are wise to our weakness and play a more simplistic game built on pacy counter attacks. We are vulnerable to this because of a relative lack of pace in our midfield and a strategy of playing a high line; Pep was also vulnerable to this style in the past when he suffered rare defeats.

We have lost one of the greatest leaders the club has known, at the same time as suffering a series of injuries. We also seem to be the victims of a relentless media campaign and face inconsistency in decision making that appears to go against us.

Yes, we will need investment and it will need to be substantial to maintain our position, if we choose to. We have a plan to replace David Silva, another great. We have some tremendous prospects coming through - Garcia and Braaf, to name just two. Everything in the garden is not rosy because of the reasons I have outlined but a catastrophe it is not.
