Loved that back in the day......the music

One of my favourite ever film scenes. Apparently Hoskins and Brosnan had never met until several years later. The scene was filmed in London (Hoskins) and L.A. (Brosnan) as the shooting for that scene coincided with another working commitment in Brosnan’s diary. Pretty mental, if true (heard Hoskins talking about it a few years ago).

O
Watched The Irishman and told my 16 yo son it was a brilliant film. He took my advice and watched it. He agreed it was brilliant and I said if he likes that then search Goodfellas and give it a try.

He came downstairs and said, oh my god dad, that was one of the best films I've seen and it's the same actors. He was really excited at what he had just seen and it was good to see him appreciating some classic film.

I know it sounds stupid but I'm really proud he had the attention span to watch two 3 hour films.. and enjoy them.

I'm gonna recommend Casino next and then, if he's ready, the Godfather trilogy.

And there was me thinking he was a YouTube junkie.
Youre a good father

Good lad!

but for the life of me I can’t work out why people thought the Irishman was good. I love all the gangster classics but that was so dull and weak.
