We are the best team in the league...

If we win the title then we're better, if they win it then obviously they are

Of course we are, just unfortunate with injuries and we have VAR against us and others have it in their favour.

I think if you gave a neutral the choice of watching us or Liverpool, they'd choose us every time but the table won't lie in May. Whoever is top then will have been the best team over the season

Sure, maybe at our best we're the best in a one off kind of way, but part of being the best in a more tangible way is the consistency of it. And this season that hasn't been us.

not only the best team in england by a country mile but in europe as well

you name one team that has to but up with the shit we have to, like beating the system first and foremost, then the match officials then VAR, that is before a ball is kicked, pep even said that winning the titles back to back was the biggest things he has won, because nobody gives manchester city anything we have had to go out and win it for yourself

even the so called awards for best players and managers are so blinded by hate of anything manchester city ? david silva would have been multi winner of the PFA player of the year award if he just played for united or liverpool same as for aguero and kompany and now we have KDB he will get over looked because of the city shirt and badge

The shenanigans by the Premier League and their lackeys, the PGMOL, leave me in no doubt that City are the best team this league has ever seen and its still only December.Plenty to play for even if the media want us all to believe otherwise.

Pointless thread.
We’re 11 points behind the dippers and they’ve got a game in hand. They also beat us. We’ve been at the shitty end of a few decisions but we didn’t deserve to win all the games we lost. If the decisions had balanced out we’d still be well behind. Injuries have fucked us over more than VAR.
We might have had the best one off performance but that means jack shit over a season. It pains me to say that the best team are the ones at the top.
Your summation of the season so far is correct, but I don't think it's a pointless thread as such even if it's only purpose is to stay motivated.
We are as far as we can be still in three competitions, and not out of a fourth. As long as we've learned from the crap part we can still accomplish a lot this season.
No looking back.

IF we can maintain the level of performance that we just saw in the last game vs Leicester then we will at least put some pressure on them. The return of Laporte after Xmas will give the squad extra options as well (as does Zinchenko who o think could be a bit of a dark horse option for our midfield should the left backs sort themselves out). If the gap gets cut you just never know....it would be the most monumental comeback ever......ik not sure klopp would survive it

That's all a huge IF however

These players however showed a real fight for the first time in a while vs Leicester however.
