A Christmas Carol on TV

Both the Alister Sim and George C. Scott versions were excellent, Scott in a part like nothing else he ever did. As for Patrick Stewart, once saw him on the stage doing every part in the tale all by himself, using different voices for different characters. Have only read about the latest version and
It doesn't much appeal, people letting go with the f- word rather than a Dickensian lawksalummy or whatever it was they exclaimed in those far-off days.

you think people didn’t use the same swear words as we do in the 19th century?

The producers mustn’t be very bright, all the effects and sets made to make it look and feel authentic, then Bob Cratchits Wife is black, kids aren’t, just the mum

The wife is mixed race, not black.

I know two white skinned brothers who have a mixed race Mother. They’re classed as mixed race too but have white skin like their Dad. One has black hair, the other ginger.

So we have, but Dickens didn't.
Regarding the thing about Mrs. Cratchit, its the actress who's black not the character.
Anyway we are just off to see Christmas Carol the musical and expect a jolly time, snow falling on stage and Silent Night at the end. Got George C. Scott's son in it too.
