I will add I celebrated the Foden goal, didn't have a clue what was going on with Mahrez off side/ penalty no idea if Foden should have had a penalty and didn't celebrate both Jesus goals until Everton kicked off -absolute bollocks for people in the stadium

Its quite incredible that two of those three are midfielders. A strategy that would never have been applied by our nutcase, Pep Guardiola but will be the future probably. Same with the sweeper-keeper. It was ridiculed at the time and yet, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool et al now play with one.

Liverpool even played Henderson at centre back recently. No way they do that without Pep already introducing it to the English game.

I really like the formation.

Mendy and Cancelo not having to spend too much time trying to defend worked perfectly, and Mahrez playing more centrally seems to work better for him. Garcia was cool, calm and collected and Phil played well and should have won a pen.

All up a great result. Happy new year Blues and it’s a nice way to start the new decade.
