Not throwing money at dick tracy is a load of bollocks. We became the centurions and the fourmidables without him.
Not having it mate, wasn't a mistake one iota.

You really think not signing him was a mistake? Hindsight is a wonderful thing but we were so close to getting a CB that just two years later is being labelled the best CB in the world and is heavily talked about in regards to the Ballon D'or. Also, you gotta believe that the hierarchy at the club knew that Kompany's time at the club was coming to an end. We obviously signed Laporte in regards to that but Laporte is streets ahead of Stones and Otamendi so we were always going to need sign more than just one CB. We might of won the league without him but you honestly can't say that we haven't come off worse in regards to Liverpool signing him and us not.

NO idea, but I can guarantee you that if we'd signed van Dijk and he'd played for us like he has for Liverpool, he wouldn't even get a passing mention in the Ballon D'Or chat. New Liverpool signing Aymeric LaPorte would probably be getting a lot of praise though
