Villa started well, and I thought they were an improvement on their first team at weekend. City soon got on the front foot and two good goals had us well out in front. In the second half Villa started doing a bit of chasing and we started to go into 'Let's give 'em a draw mode'! We missed some good chances in the second half and started fannying around trying to embellish what needed to be just the simple stuff as we got near and into the Villa box. Their goalkeeper kept them in it a few times, and then they got their goal which was the usual concession - no real challenges from the half way line and the ball's in our net. We were the better team overall but we are gonna meet better teams than Villa, and every chance created must be buried!
