I have checked all of Shearer's PL games (sad I know) and his total of penalties scored is actually 56. Where all the other figures come from I have no idea.

I have a question

The premier League scoring record is Alan shearer with 260. But the top flight English league goalscoring record is Jimmy greaves with 357.
I wonder if anybody beats Shearers record should it be considered an achievement?

Surely the achievement would be in beating Greaves. No? Because you just know the premier League will make a big deal about it if anybody beats 260. But should it?
