I loved watching those as a little kid during the school holidays. There was always a little concern at the back of my head how we never say the start or end of the series, it just seemed to begin anywhere and when it was time to go back to school the story wasn’t over. Many years later I learned the bbc used to buy those programmes literally by the foot and would just start them anywhere!
