Angelino

All the best to him.

Option to buy for 25m at the end of the Season

Really shows how highly rated he is that first PSG and now Leipzig have wanted him and are prepared to spend £25m on him. That would make him Leipzig's biggest transfer in hisotry, and everyone knows that while they're going for Bundesliga titles and will be in the CL, they buy players they think they can sell for a lot more.

While it’s disappointing that the move hasn’t worked out, the club may see it as a very good move for FFP. I think we paid around £11m for him so if he’s sold for £25m that’s a tidy profit and allows for more spending in the summer.

This is really clever business from City.

He simply isn't needed at this point in time. His defending is pretty terrible and with Sane coming back width is less of an issue. Mendy, Zinchenko, Cancelo, Laporte are all better options in his position.

Loaning him to the Bundesliga leaders gives him a chance to improve and test himself at a high level. If it doesn't work out we can still make a small profit on him. If it does we can make a big one.

And it looks good. If we had kept him in the stands for another half a season, just in case, we could have really stunted his development. He was given the chance to come back here, he took it, got a few games at the highest level. It didn't work out, but we got him a really good move. Bringing Angelino back in the summer was a good sign for future academy deals, it showed that if players went away and impressed they had a shot. What this shows is that even if players don't quite make it here, we can still help them upwards in their career.

Also not a bad idea to get cosy with Leipzig.

Just not good enough I’m afraid. His homegrown status and the guaranteed profit were the only reasons we brought him back. It was zero risk and made sense. It also Makes sense to loan him out if he’s going to get games, maybe he improves enough to get another shot but if not he’s in the shop window and we make good money on him in the summer.

he’s not getting games here, he’s not going to play in the big games even if mendy and zinchenko are injured and with the league gone there’s no real need to keep him as cover. Good luck to him and hope he does well.

I'd be amazed if he didn't end up playing further forward for them. Worth a lot more to them if he becomes a decent winger, which I think is more likely than him becoming a good enough left back for a top team. PSG can afford to play with a winger at left back (Kurzawa), Leipzig can't.

Not good enough but we knew that when we brought him back.

Still an option to buy at £25M is very good business.

best of luck to the lad.
