Is Manuka honey worth paying extra for?

I've always ate honey, especially a dollop in a bowl of porridge. It's good for you and considered a super food. But is Manuka honey from New Zealand worth paying the extra money for? I bought some yesterday off the market, a 500gm jar for a fiver. Same honey sells in Costco for a whopping £31.99!

it’s likely that what you bought wasn’t genuine.

much of the manuka in supply is counterfeit.

I have started taking this every evening for about the like 6 weeks off the spoon.

I have kidney cancer at the moment and I think there is def something behind the honey and keeping my immune system strong during treatment. I have managed to control fatigue, sore throats and early colds these pass few weeks.

we got the really good stuff from Holland and Barrett that was like £80; but on Black Friday and some other discounts it came to £34 I think. It’s also sealed by the New Zealand government but as someone pointed out I didn’t know you couldn’t class UK honey as organic due to unprotected areas.

It’s a bit rough off the spoon and I usually take it with a drink to take the edge off.

I also mentioned it to a number of top doctors the last few weeks and they recommended it to.
