Txiki Begiristain

I hope you are right, but the difference between an old player and young player is typically experience. If we can get the young players experience before the end of the season it strengthens our squad for next year. Its a no brainer really,

Not expecting to see them every week but more often would be ideal.
You’re right, experience is a big factor but as a massive club now where every game matters we have to tread a fine line between developing players for future seasons and getting results today. That said, no chance of the title and top four looking nailed on should mean we see more of Phil certainly. Not sure if Garcia is yet robust enough to deal with top class frontmen.

That is why we have to play him to find out. This season gives us an opportunity, and either way will help
us decide our summer transfer plans.

Sometimes players surprise you both positively and negatively.

Another added bonus of playing them is it sends out a message to other top young players that at City you will get a chance because one day some special kid will become available and we wont want to miss out.

Physically Garcia looks short of man strength which largely will come with time and strength and conditioning. I’m all for playing him at home against mediocre opponents but today’s game for example isn’t one I’d have risked him in.
Leroy came, Raheem came, Sergio came. Can’t see why any top young talent wouldn’t wanna come here if he had enough faith in himself.

Bullshit, scousers have one worldy van d and one top class Robertson. Crucially they have 3 sitting midfielders who are all mobile enough to help out the back four.

Following the policy you advocate in your final paragraph would’ve landed us bog standard stopper maguire for £80m
Alisson, Fabinho also great buys imho. Fabinho > Rodri

To be fair, Txiki has done good job largely but that is very good point. Its 2020 we look miles off winning the UCL and he arrived in 2012. By now we should be genuine contenders for it year on year.

We've been clear favourites to win it last two seasons, and amongst top 5 favourites a couple seasons before that. We can win it. Doesn't mean we will. We certainly can.

Prefer eddy to ally especially at half the price. Rodri has had a mixed first season but it’s been better than Fabinho’s first season. Judge him this time next year.
Alisson has made big saves for them. Fabinho’s mobility make him better. Rodders has no pace and it’s killing us. He’s not going to get quicker I’m afraid. He’s a huge downgrade from Dinho.
