Players reportedly tell Pep to stop "tinkering"

"Sportsmail understands " and all believe it to be gospel
There have always been bust ups in the locker room,in the old days players used to punch each others lights out,it is the place where they are all safe to have their say,it's perfectly normal, the fact that he kept them in so long points to a lot of discussion,it's a good thing imo

And there lies the main problem..

It's not about leaving Stones or Otamendi out not even whether to leave out Bernardo for Mahrez or Jesus instead of Sergio.

All the above mask over the bigger picture having to pick Rodri & Gundagun before Fernandinio in midfield.

Pep has shoe horned Dino in at CB just so he can play His 2 blue eyed boys In CM

This for me along with constant picking of Sterling has fucked us over.

We have something going on in the back ground, in training or whatever but some players are not happy

You know, we've been doing without Vin for years. Great as he was, and is, it is years since he played anything like close to a full season. The reasons for our failings this season have to lie elsewhere.

Couldn't resist.
How symbolic this goal is nowadays, looking at our last 30+ chances...

I think Pep does rotate slightly too much, but in relation to Sunday's result that was down to the players ie Gundogan not scoring the penalty, numerous missed chances and poor defending.

He has carried nothing, he ran this team 2 seasons ago, that player is no longer there, the two knee injuries has in my opinion had a serious effect on him.

He also gives the opinion of an unhappy player at present.
He's not quite at his insane physical peak, he was an absolute machine for two/three seasons but he's still topping or close to topping the running stats most weeks which certainly backs up what we see on the pitch, so I'm not quite sure where you're going with this one. He does carry this team most weeks; Rodri is still finding his feet and isn't the most mobile but puts in a shift, Silva is finished physically and has been for 2 years but is still that good he's difficult to replace and the less said about Gundogan and Mahrez the better. Aguero is great in fits and starts but he's not naturally gifted over distance. The only two in midfield doing the leg work are Bernardo and Sterling, although even both of those have dipped this season with no real summer break.

Short version; without De Bruyne we would be fucked this season, especially now Dinho is playing CB.

The answer is quite easy: much more injuries.

18/19 Bravo was out, no (big) impact. KDB 1st half was out. Full stop.
End of the season we had several short injuries, nothing big. We won 100% domestic titles and were ridiculously unlucky in CL.

This season:
Sane out -> Sterling takes the full workload on LW and look what happened!
Laporte out, Stones, Zinchenko -> many defensive changes, Dinho saved our arse big time. Even Garcia played 6 full matches already.

Furthermore David, Sergio and Rodri were out for some time.

Pep had to change much more compared to last season(s). And by looking at the players available he had to change the system (tinker), too.
3 at the back came into play to rest Sterling and play without wingers, using 2 offensive wingbacks instead.

Bottom line, we should NOT discuss who is guilty, that would be a trap.
We only have to ask what's best to get the players to the point where they can deliver their normal performance. And score.

Even if the players' shout would be unjustified Pep should be a wise leader and give the team some inches only for motivational reasons.

In summer Pep can present his bill and make the changes he thinks are useful to get more character into the squad
in order to compete with Klopp's bunch.

Otherwise I somehow worry Kev might lose patience and develop other plans, if some things don't change...

most of the players mentioned were absent for 3/4 weeks maximum , only Laporte was a guaranteed first teamer out long term , even Sane was on the bench for most of last season , Pep could have chosen a nucleus of 7/8 players for every Premier league game , but he changes upto nine players sometimes , not having injuries as an excuse for this seasons poor form , obviously it has contributed , but all teams get injuries.

I’m sure heated dressing room discussions happen often, the press will try to put a negative spin on things but there’s nothing untoward here.

The only plus point to this tinkering is that it keeps the squad fresh for the latter rounds of the Champions' League. It's generally accepted that Liverpool v Tottenham final last year was poor because both teams were knackered. This is where Pep could end up playing his trump card with a fully-fit squad including Sane and Laporte ready to rip it up in Istanbul. Erm, that is if we dump Madrid out first.
